Review, remove and recycle

'Tis the season to start looking through all those broken toys, unstuffed stuffed animals, torn books and limbless dolls and decide what to do with them after receiving more toys and dolls from Santa. It is this time of year that I do my "winter cleaning" and start to throw away those broken and unrepairable toys. I give away those repairable toys, dolls and books as well as those games that have one piece missing that could be substituted or any toys that are past the age of my children. I also go through clothes to see which ones can become official play clothes and which ones should become rags. Or even, some can be given away. I always find it a nice way to start the New Year with an organized house. And, even if the holidays are over, there are still families and children in need of things that we are fortunate enough to replace. Think about it and review, remove and recycle!

I was hoping you could share this with your readers. I'm submitting it as a comment since I didn't see another way to contact. It's info on a great bay area event - a huge consignment sale put on by Twins by the Bay:

What mom doesn't love a bargain when it comes to shopping for kid clothes and toys? Twins by the Bay, a local support organization for parents of multiples, is having a huge consignment sale June 10th in Alameda just off of Park St. It's a great place to find amazing deals on gently used and new baby, child, and maternity items including clothing, equipment, books, toys, shoes, etc. from over 50 families. The sale starts at 9 am and at 11:30 the doors close then re-open for a half-price sale followed by a $5 fills a bag sale. There is so much stuff that even at the $5 fills-a-bag sale you'll have no problem filling your bag, or bags, with great stuff. Everything is well organized into into categories and clothing is hung on racks by gender and size. If you work up an appetite shopping there's even a bake sale to grab a bite to eat and a cup of coffee. FYI it's cash only but there are ATMs close by.

WHEN:
Sunday, June 10, 2012
9:00- 11:30 p.m. = Sale open to the public
12:00 - 12:50 p.m. = Half-Price Sale: all items are 1/2 off price listed
